Final between Latvian champions Rubene and Russian champions Nauka Trevelstroy was very dramatic. In the middle of first half Rubene scored opening goal (1:0) and for a long time it looked like this might be the only precise shot in the match. When Latvians doubled their lead (2:0) 3 minutes before the final whistle it felt like Latvian Open title will stay at home this time. Meanwhile Nauka Trevelstroy was gearing up for the last push and it was a successful one. Russians showed great determination, scored 2 goals in last 68 seconds and regular time ended in a draw. In the penalty shoot out only one shot reached the target and Svetlana Viktorova secured the win for Nauka Trevelstroy (3:2).
